Russ Miller

In 1979, at age 13, I was given a 35mm camera, and my life was changed forever.

Over the course of 36 years I have taken hundreds of thousands of original photographs. This is a collection of some of my best work so far; including paintings, drawings, promo stills, and projects I have produced/been involved in from bands, movies, scripts, music videos etc. Please enjoy.

Russ Miller is an abstract artist who lives in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Originally from Los Angeles, California Russ grew up in the late 1970’s around the back-lots of Warner Bros, Universal and Paramount Pictures movie studios, working any and all jobs in both production and post-production.

After majoring in photography and film production Russ began his professional career by writing scripts for the NBC’s Saturday Morning Show “Alvin & the Chipmunks.” By the early 1990’s Russ was already producing, directing and editing many music videos as well as creating and producing comedy skits. Russ Miller is well known for his work with a KDOC-TV called “Bob Mustang’s TV GUMBO” and directing segments for the PBS cable show “The 90’s.”

In the late 1990’s Russ Miller was signed as a producer and performing artist to Immortal/Epic Records and was also a “featured recording artist” on the soundtrack “GO” for the same movie produced by SONY Pictures. Currently Russ produces random videos, documentaries, and strange “toy guitar” music videos that have totaled more than a half million viewers and fans on the internet.

In his spare time Miller enjoys spending time with his wife and their two Standard Poodles, Mr. Bentley and Annabelle. Russ says the most rewarding thing about painting abstract images and his photographic images is to be able to hear what others see and interpret in his work.
